1st Customer Review : Easy to use and inexpensive!
It hooks on to your pot very easily. It heats quickly and evenly. I was concerned about accidentally getting any water mixed with the chocolate I was melting (for making candy), but that has been a total non-issue. It is on the smaller side, but that has actually turned out to be a good thing. I highly recommended this product!

2nd Customer Review : Small boiler
I bought this to make various herbal salves and natural beauty supplies, but I only make 4-6 ounces of it at a time so this small size was not an issue for those recipes. It works well for infusing herbs with oils for hours and hours, and it melts beeswax very nicely. I use a smaller revere saucepan on low and it does a great job. I have not had it bubble over into the boiler at all which was a concern of mine before I used it.
It is perfect for making small batches of herbal infusions because you don't have to heat up a big pan and have that teeny bit of product swiming around there in the bottom. It is a great shape for mixing too. I also love the pouring spouts.. way less messy than a pan and funnel.
Just keep in mind that this boiler is about the size of a larger coffee mug or a deep soup bowl. I'm not sure I would use it for candy making at Christmas nor use it for any kind of desert or sauce for more than 2-3 people. (I say this only because I cook for...
