1st Customer Review : Another solid item in the Strauss Platinum line
I had purchased numerous Strauss saucepans and was debating whether to get the double boiler pan, since my microwave can take care of certain delicate tasks like heating chocolate. Fear not, go for it! The double boiler is as well made as the steamer attachment, and fits the same 7 " pot and lid perfectly. This model is much nicer and more compact than my old double boiler, and it's great when you just don't want to worry about overheating the food you are preparing. I've noticed that most new sets of pots and pans do not have double boilers available. I looked all over town for the Strauss, and nobody but nobody could get the double boiler. Through Amazon and MyCuisina - no problem!
